Την Πέμπτη 21 Οκτωβρίου πραγματοποιήθηκαν τα εγκαίνια της νέας ξενοδοχειακής μονάδας Patras Smart του Ομίλου Airotel, στην αναδυόμενη περιοχή του νέου λιμανιού της Πάτρας. Στον αγιασμό χοροστάτησε ο Σεβασμιότατος Μητροπολίτης Πατρών Χρυσόστομος, ενώ ομιλία απηύθυνε ο Πρόεδρος του Ξενοδοχειακού Επιμελητηρίου Ελλάδος κύριος Γεώργιος Τσακίρης.

UNWTO Executive Council Advances Action on Tourist Protection
The closure of European airspace due to the volcanic ash cloud last April demonstrated the need for a global legal framework for the protection of tourists. As a result, the 89th Session of UNWTO Executive Council (Kish Island, I.R. of Iran, 25-26 October 2010) has decided to initiate a study on a possible legal instrument for protecting tourists.

The cruise industry is booming – what are we doing
This month is probably the “first” most important month for the travel and tourism sector of Greece. For one, the 2010 season “officially” has ended and we all have drawn the line and came up with the bottom line. We will not comment on the results – its been done by government officials, association presidents, past-presidents, individual travel professionals, even by us as well.
