4.8% Passenger growth in 2011 for Europe’s regional airlines
Airline members of the European Regions Airline Association (ERA) have reported average scheduled passenger growth of 4.8% in 2011 compared with 2.5% in 2010.

Cathy Buyck, Senior Editor Europe Bureau Chief, Air Transport World has been awarded the ERA Hank McGonagle Journalism Award 2010/11 for an article on the introduction of aviation into the EU Emissions Trading Scheme. The Award was presented by Mike Ambrose, director general, ERA, at a prestigious Awards Ceremony in Barcelona last night, as part of the Association’s annual General Assembly.

Binter Canarias has been announced the winner of the European Regions Airline Association (ERA) Airline of the Year 2010/11 GOLD Award. The carrier has previously won three ERA awards, including the ERA GOLD Award in 2005.
