US joint venture appoints Leslie J. Machado to head future business activities
AVIAWORLD, an AVIAREPS-AIRWORLD joint venture company, has decided to appoint experienced aviation professional Leslie J. Machado as Managing Director.
In March 2011 AVIAWORLD was established as a joint venture in the US between AVIAREPS, the world’s leading provider of aviation and tourism representation services, and Air World Alliance, the leading North-American airline and tourism representation company. Currently, AVIAWORLD has four regional sales offices in Los Angeles, Houston, New York and Chicago to comprehensively cater for clients’ needs across the United States.
Leslie J. Machado is a renowned industry professional with an excellent record of aviation expertise. He has over three decades of experience in Airline Sales & Marketing, Representation, Aviation Consulting and Business Process Management. In his new position as Managing Director at AVIAWORLD, Mr. Machado will be responsible for the oversight of four US regional sales offices with a nation wide sales team of more than 50 and strategically supervise the activities for online-carrier Arik Air, as well as for offline airlines such as Air Baltic, Air Namibia, Air Seychelles and Olympic Air.
