The European airport trade association, ACI EUROPE, yesterday elected Stefan Schulte for a second term as its President.
Schulte, the CEO of Fraport AG, was re-elected during ACI EUROPE’s 36th Annual Congress and General Assembly, hosted by Prague Airport.
Remarking on his re-election, Stefan Schulte said: “I am honoured that ACI EUROPE and its members have reaffirmed their confidence in my leadership for a second term, extending my tenure for another year. As Europe’s airports face the need to decouple their financial viability and investment capabilities from volume growth, I will continue to do my utmost during this critical time to represent our airport community – from major hubs to vital smaller regional airports – while championing the interests of all our members.”
During this year’s General Assembly, the following airport leaders were also appointed to the Board of ACI EUROPE for a first term: Mr George Kallimasias, CEO, Athens International Airport (Greece); Ms Eleni Kaloyirou, CEO, Hermes Airports (Cyprus); Mr Nazareno Ventola, CEO, Bologna Airport (Italy); Mr Arnaud Feist, CEO, Brussels Airport (Belgium); Mr Rémi Maumon de Longevialle, CEO, VINCI Airports (France); Mr Pieter van Oord, CEO, Royal Schiphol Group (the Netherlands); Mr Andrew Bell, CEO, Regional & City Airports (United Kingdom); Mr Mats Johannesson, CEO, Swedavia (Sweden).
Appointed to the Board for a second term were Ms Aletta von Massenbach, CEO, Berlin Brandenburg Airport (Germany) and Mr Thomas Woldbye, CEO, London Heathrow Airport (United Kingdom).
