Norwegian Cruise Line has launched a ‘Book Early – Cruise Happy’ promotion that runs until October 31, 2011 and grants guests up to $500 of free on-board spending money per stateroom when booking any 2012/13 European cruises of five nights and longer as well as a 2012 Atlantic crossing.

Adjusted EBITDA for the second quarter ended June 30, 2011 increased 29.0% to $123.5 million from $95.7 million in the same period of 2010 on improved revenue performance and continued business improvement initiatives. Net Revenue for the quarter increased 19.8% to $418.0 million from $349.0 million in 2010 as a result of a 14.9% increase in Capacity Days, due to the addition of Norwegian Epic to the fleet in June 2010, along with an improvement in Net Yield of 4.2%. The increase in Net Yield was a result of both higher passenger ticket pricing and increased onboard spend per Capacity Day.

Norwegian Cruise Line has launched its Freestyle Cruising 2012/13 brochure with an early-booking offer, new ports and itineraries, interactive brochure content and a second embarkation port option for Norwegian Epic’s Mediterranean sailings.

Norwegian Cruise Line recently announced that a second embarkation option has been added to Norwegian Epic’s seven-night Western Mediterranean itinerary sailings from April 29, 2012 through October 10, 2012. Guests will have the flexibility to begin their cruise vacation in either Barcelona, Spain or in Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy, where a limited amount of staterooms will now be available for booking. A full range of staterooms will be offered including standard accommodation as well as the two-bedroom Courtyard Family Villas, Courtyard Penthouses, Spa Suites and Studios.

Norwegian Cruise Line unveiled the first look at its new balcony and mini-suite stateroom designs for Project Breakaway, the project name for the company’s two new next generation Freestyle Cruising ships scheduled for delivery in April 2013 and April 2014.

Norwegian Cruise Line announced that 20-year travel and leisure industry veteran Francis Riley will head the line’s international sales and marketing efforts as vice president and general manager.
