JSF Travel & Tourism School will start its academic program in 2017 with The Wharton School and IESE as its academic partners. Specialised in postgraduate and managerial training, its main goal is to prioritize talent as a catalyst for top drawer academic proposals, to respond to the leadership requirements of the tourism industry, and help strengthen the sector and the future of new generations.

JSF Travel & Tourism School (JSF) and the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) have signed an agreement to improve and enhance cooperation between the two institutions.

The agreement, signed by Taleb Rifai, Secretary General of the UNWTO, and Jaime Fluxá, Chairman of JSF, aims to foster the creation and dissemination of knowledge in order to reduce the gap between demand and supply in the tourism sector and promote academic activities which contribute to the development of talent among professionals.

Moreover, the agreement also aims to raise awareness of the importance of talent development in the tourism sector from the public through public-private partnerships.

The international Business School, driven by Junípero Serra Foundation, has the active support of large international corporations including Hotelbeds Group, Grupo Barceló, Iberostar Hotels & Resorts, Riu Hotels & Resorts, Amadeus, Apple Leisure Group or Catenon, as well as other companies that are being incorporated as founding sponsors.

The JSF Travel & Tourism School is created with the aim of becoming a leader in the sector through the development of specialist masters, executive development programmes and webinars, that will also benefit from the active cooperation of academic partners such as the prestigious The Wharton School and IESE.

The JSF Travel & Tourism School also has the support of Universia, the leading organization in providing support to the global academic sector.

UNWTO is the United Nations agency responsible for the promotion of responsible, sustainable and universally accessible tourism. UNWTO’s membership includes 163 countries and over 480 Affiliate Members representing the private sector, educational institutions, tourism associations and local tourism authorities.

UNWTO has expressed interest in working with JSF Travel & Tourism School to “encourage all academic activities which contribute to the development of talent in the tourism industry”. In May 2015, JSF joined the UNWTO as an affiliate member. This new agreement reaffirms the strategic alliance and supports JSF’s aim to bring talent into the tourism industry and to improve its image as an innovative and strong industry in which develop an ambitious career on a professional level.
