The shocking events taking place in the last hours in Ukraine have brought in dire position and have exposed at immediate risk the Greek Diaspora . The dramatic events which we live and which is marked by
an unprecedented upsurge of nationalism and racism between two fraternal peoples, threaten the historic Greek Omogeneia in the region .
The request of the President of the Federation of Greek Associations in Ukraine Mrs.Alexandra Protsenko-Pitsantzi to facilitate immediate acquisition of Greek special identity cards for Greek-Ukraines, need to be implemented forthwith .
We all expect,.the Deputy Foreign Minister of Greece Mr.Kyriakos Gerontopoulos, responsible for Greeks Abroad ,to embrace urgently this key issue.
Hellas as the cradle of civilization and democracy, as the protector of Human Rights has the duty to stand by the Greeks in Ukraine.
