ITA Airways will inaugurate nonstop flights from its Rome Fiumicino hub to Chicago and Toronto.
The new direct flight from Rome Fiumicino to Chicago will be launched on the 7th of April 2024 with 6 weekly frequencies that will become 7 from June and 6 in October. On May 10, the Rome Fiumicino – Toronto flight will be inaugurated, with 6 weekly frequencies becoming 7 from June to September and 5 in October.
The new intercontinental route to Toronto will be operated with the Airbus A330neo and the route to Chicago will be operated with the Airbus A330neo and Airbus A330-200, joining those long-haul direct flights from Rome Fiumicino to New York, Boston, Miami, Los Angeles, Washington, San Francisco, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Buenos Aires, Tokyo and New Delhi, already in the Company’s network.
ITA Airways in the upcoming summer season will offer from Athens to Rome Fiumicino 3 daily flights that will become 4 from the 1st of June, ensuring convenient connections to the entire network of destinations in Italy and the rest of the world. In total, in the Summer 2024, ITA Airways will operate 57 destinations, including 16 Italian domestic, 26 international and 15 intercontinental.
ITA Airways was awarded for the first time the prestigious title of “Fastest Growing Airline in Western Europe” during the Airline Marketing Workshop, organized on the 14th of March 2024 by the Athens International Airport. The “Fastest Growing Airline” was awarded to ITA Airways for the results achieved in 2023, which outperformed those of other carriers in Western Europe.
