New 5-star ship characterizes a new generation of passenger ships
AMADEUS River Cruises is planning a new generation of passenger ships: AMADEUS Nova will commence cruises on the Rhine and Danube in spring 2024 and set new standards for cruising on the rivers in Europe.
Starting in 2024, AMADEUS River Cruises will launch the AMADEUS Nova in 2024, a premium passenger ship that combines luxury, advanced technology, and environmental measures. The ship features a hybrid diesel-electric drive, a powerful battery, and upgraded engines with filters and catalysts to reduce emissions and eliminate pollutants. Our newly added solar panels provide electric energy, while our heat recovery systems and insulated glass enhance energy efficiency. The use of autonomous control and positioning systems improves safety and fuel efficiency. The AMADEUS Nova sets new environmental standards for river cruises.

With four decks, 12 spacious suites (approximately. 284 ft²) with balconies, 67 exterior cabins (approximately). 188 ft² in size and mainly with panoramic windows which can be lowered), elegant wind-protected lounge areas, an open Café Vienna, spa and fitness areas and, now, a heated pool on the sun deck. The AMADEUS Nova creates a truly exclusive 5-star river cruise experience. The ship’s construction resembles the AMADEUS Riva and AMADEUS Cara, which have generated high customer satisfaction with the young fleet.
Starting in 2024, the AMADEUS Nova will travel across the Rhine and Danube, Europe’s biggest rivers, which also impress international visitors with their attractive and historically significant sights.
