Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines, has once again bagged the “Best Long-Haul Low-Cost Carrier” award at the World Airline Awards 2022 and the “Best Low-Cost Carrier” award for the Asia Pacific region at the 31st Annual TTG Travel Awards 2022. This is the second time the airline is receiving both awards, and consecutively. Scoot was also awarded “Best Low-Cost Air Cargo Carrier” at the 2022 Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain (AFLAS) Awards.

World Airline Awards 2022 – Best Long-Haul Low-Cost Carrier
The awards ceremony was held at The Langham in London, United Kingdom, on Friday, 23 September 2022. Mr. Ng Chee Keong, Scoot Chief Operating Officer, accepted the award in person on behalf of Scoot.
The World Airline Awards began in 1999, when Skytrax launched its first global, annual airline customer satisfaction survey. Often referred to as “the Oscars of the aviation industry”, travellers across the globe vote in the largest independent passenger satisfaction survey to decide the winners.
31st Annual TTG Travel Awards 2022 – Best Low-Cost Carrier
This is the carrier’s second award since the Annual TTG Travel Awards’ inception in 2011, testament to Scoot’s growing global presence and popularity with customers.
The in-person awards ceremony and gala dinner was held in Bangkok on Thursday, 22 September 2022. Ms. Agatha Yap, Scoot Director, Marketing and New Revenue, Cabin Crew, Ms. Charie How, accepted the award on behalf of Scoot.
The TTG Travel Awards is organised annually by TTG Asia, Asia Pacific’s leading travel trade publisher and events organiser. TTG publication readers and travel industry professionals cast their votes to decide on the winners who epitomise the highest standards of the region’s travel industry. The 31st Annual TTG Travel Awards also marks the resumption of the annual awards after being on hold in 2020 and 2021 due to COVID-19.
2022 Asian Freight, Logistics and Supply Chain (AFLAS) Awards – Best Low-Cost Air Cargo Carrier
The AFLAS Awards ceremony was held on 7 September 2022 in Hong Kong. Scoot received the award for Best Low-Cost Air Cargo Carrier, cementing Scoot’s position as the low-cost freight carrier of choice.
COVID-19 saw the demand for air freight cargo rapidly increase while passenger service was restricted. Scoot was also one of the first airlines in Southeast Asia to operate cargo charters with modified aircraft, increasing awareness of our cargo capabilities.
