The national carrier of Egypt, and a Member of Star Alliance, EGYPTAIR is celebrating its 90th anniversary this May. Since its establishment in 1932 and over its history, being the first airline in the Middle East and Africa and the 7th in the world to join IATA, the airline has proved to be a preferred legacy carrier to millions of passengers every year.
EGYPTAIR takes Cairo International Airport terminal 3 and the new terminal 2 as its hub equipped with the latest airport facilities and business class lounges. The airline connects its customers to over 70 non-stop destinations worldwide, in addition to over 50 destinations through codeshare agreements. Additionally, the airline connects its customers to Egypt’s top leisure destinations, namely Sharm El- Sheikh, Hurghada, Luxor, Aswan, Marsa Alam and more.
In light of its expansion plan, EGYPTAIR is also inaugurating service to new destinations such as Kinshasa and Dublin, and to re-operate a number of destinations that have been suspended due to Covid-19 pandemic such as Algeria, Mumbai and Bangkok.
EGYPTAIR utilizes a young fleet of 66 aircraft including 17 wide body aircraft; Boeing 777-300ER, Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, Airbus A330-300, Airbus A330-200 in addition to 49 Medium and narrow body aircraft; B737-800, Airbus A320 Neo and Airbus A220-300. Further, the airline is planned to deliver 2 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner and 7 Airbus 321 till 2024.
EGYPTAIR newest eco-friendly Dreamliner B787-9 is equipped with 30 Super Diamond full-flat bed seats in business class, the aircraft offers with the latest entertainment technologies and means of comfort with wide personal screens in business and economy classes, Wi-Fi and mobile roaming facilities.
The B777-300ER offering 346 seats and the A330-300 offering 301 seats provide the passengers with flat-bed seats in business class and personal screens in all classes.
The medium-haul A320Neo offer wide pitch business class seats and personal screens in all classes. The A320Neo and A220-300 offer Wi-Fi connectivity and mobile roaming services onboard.
The airline offers state-of-the-art onboard services starting from the highly qualified cabin crew, variety of beverage and hot meals on long haul flights and many of the flights to European destinations with plans to re-introduce hot meals on all international destinations soon. The airline provides a great variety of pre-ordered meals that cater for every customer’s taste. The airline also offers generous amenity kit to keep the customers well treated throughout their whole flights.
