Prioritising the health and safety of its customers and having drawn up a detailed action plan and operational protocols, Mitsis Hotels Group is ready to welcome on April 1st, 2021 its first guests to Mitsis Grand Hotel, the only 5* ultra all-inclusive beach hotel at the heart of Rhodes. The opening baton will take one by one the hotels according to developments at international and local level.
Aiming at the smooth and safe restart of Greek tourism and the wider contribution to the upgrading of the tourist product, Mitsis Hotels Group is honoured to support major international sporting events as Grand Hospitality Sponsor: The cycling races ‘Rhodes Grand Prix powered by Mitsis Hotels’ and the ‘International Tour of Rhodes’ will be held between April 2-12, with the participation of 25 national cycling teams and 280 athletes, who will be hosted at Mitsis Grand Hotel, while the Virtual Marathon ‘Roads to Rhodes’ will take place for one month from April 9 to May 9 2021, with the participation of runners from all over the world.
In addition, as part of the safe restart of travel, Mitsis Grand Hotel in Rhodes has been selected as one of the safest hotels for the implementation of the pilot program ‘Safe Corridor’, organized for the first time on April 12 by Sunweb Group in cooperation with Transavia and with the approval of the Dutch and Greek governments. The program will exclusively accommodate 187 selected guests for 8 days, based on detailed health & safety protocols which include PCR & Rapid tests before, during and after the trip. With the aim of collecting data on safe and responsible travel during the pandemic, visitors and direct contact staff will remain exclusively within the hotel facilities. The success of the project will contribute to the emergence of our country as a safe holiday destination once again and will mark the beginning of the tourist season and the return to normality.
