New ways of working can boost Greek business performance

Regus, the world’s largest provider of flexible workplaces, has opened its third business centre in Athens, in the south of the city. It offers business owners an affordable way to start or expand a company – they can gain an impressive business presence without committing to fixed overheads or high start-up costs.

The expansion of the Regus network in Greece also helps businesses to avoid the cost, delays and red tape involved in leasing fixed real estate. The new centre allows them to move quickly and easily into fully-furnished, business-ready workspace.

The expansion of the Regus network in Athens comes as the latest edition of the Regus Business Confidence Index shows confidence in Greece has risen strongly since October 2012, though it remains below the global average. Almost seven in ten (68%) of firms plan to increase or maintain headcount in 2013, and 44% think firms will hire more sales and marketing employees – a signal that companies feel it’s the right time to adopt more growth-oriented strategies.

Katerina Manou, VP for the Balkans, at Regus, comments: “ Using Regus flexible workplaces like Regus City South – Acropolis View allows companies to take on new staff and deskspace, without high fixed overheads. They pay only for the office space they use, and can reduce or expand their footprint as and when they need to – as well as being reassuring for companies of all sizes, it’s a springboard for growth.”

The opening of a Regus centre in the south of Athens complements the existing Regus network in the centre and north of the city. It increases the options for workers and business travellers to work and meet at convenient locations and to avoid traffic congestion.

Employers can use the different Regus business locations in Athens to offer staff greater flexibility over where and when they work. This can help improve well-being and productivity, and also be a useful recruitment tool as companies seek to attract key talent in areas such as sales and marketing.
