EKOME participates once again in the Market of the International Short Film Festival Clermont-Ferrand (February 5-8, 2024), where it organizes a national stand in collaboration with the Greek Film Centre, aiming to showcase Greek short films and network Greek short filmmakers with professionals from around the world. The national stand will also host the Drama International Short Film Festival, as the leading organization supporting and promoting short film in Greece.
This year, our country is represented at the world’s largest short film festival by Stavros Markoulakis’ film “The Pigeons Get Sick when the City is on Fire,” which secured its participation in the International Competition section, where a total of 66 films will be screened.
The festival also features the film “Bella” by Thelyia Petraki, which won the Golden Dionysus at the Drama Short Film Festival in 2020 and was nominated for the Best Short Film award by the European Film Academy in 2021. During the Market, representatives of EKOME will be at the Greek stand to promote the financing tools Cash Rebate 40% & Tax Relief 30% managed by EKOME, aimed at supporting domestic audiovisual production and attracting international producers to Greece.
Additionally, they will inform professionals in the audiovisual industry and production company representatives about the significant incentives and coordinated efforts made in recent years to establish Greece as an audiovisual hub in Europe.
