Exceptional Award Ceremony of Who is Who International Awards 2023

In an evening dedicated to rewarding excellence, on Thursday 28 September 2023 the International Who is Who Awards “Greece, a Whole World!” were in the spotlight of the international and local scene, for the 4th consecutive year.

Eminent personalities were honored for their work in various fields of entrepreneurship, art, leadership, science, social responsibility and academic achievements.

The event honored with their presence, Mr.Sotiris Anagnostopoulos, Secretary General of Commerce and Consumer Protection of the Ministry of Development, who presented the World Woman Leader of Firmed Economy award to Mrs.Vasiliki Lazarakou, President of the Securities and Exchange Commission and the World Eminent Man of Global Banking & Human Rights award to Dr.Franco M.G.Derin, economist and judicial officer. Mr. Demosthenes Anagnostopoulos, Secretary General of Information Systems and Digital Governance of the Ministry of Digital Governance, presented the World Woman Leader in Humanized Digital Societies award to Ms. Peggy Antonakou, General Manager Southeast Europe Google.

The International Who is Who Awards under the auspices of HRH Prince Nereides Antonio Giamundo de Bourbon Foundation honored this year with the World Woman Leader of Global Entertainment & Racial Equity award, the Director of the Golden Globes, Sharlette Hambrick, who received her award from HRH Prince Nereides.

Among the distinguished personalities of the evening were Mrs. Lola Daifa who received the World Woman Leader of Public Relations and Media award, Mrs. Angela Gerekou, President of the Greek National Tourism Organization (EOT) who was granted the World Woman Leader of Sophisticated Tourism award, Dr. Konstantinos Konstantinidis, founder of robotic surgery in Greece, who received the World Eminent Man & Mastermind of Robotic Surgery award and many more prominent personalities.

Special moments of the evening were the two honorary awards to Mr. Vassilis Bekas, Executive Chef of the Presidency of the Republic and Mr. Konstantinos Mouzakis, Chairman of the Board of the Chefs Club of Attica “Acropoli “s and the honorary award to the humanitarian organization Humanity Greece and the founder Mrs. Georgia Paraschou.

Driven by the deep commitment to integrity, passion and service to the common good, Who is Who International Awards have once again demonstrated their dedication to recognizing significant achievements and their deep support for those in need.

This year’s awards evening took on a special significance as a part of the proceeds from the event were earmarked to help those affected by the devastating floods that hit areas of Thessaly, thus confirming the institution’s character and commitment to social solidarity.

The evening was presented by the talented presenter and journalist Anna Zirdeli and the acclaimed actor Manolis Ionas, who added their own touch during the event.

The guests had the opportunity to savor a tasty journey through the special menu that was crafted and curated by the Executive Chef of the Presidency of the Republic, Mr.Vassilis Bekas, who was awarded “Best Chef of Europe” in 2022 and is a member of the Board of the Chefs Club of Attica “Acropolis.”

The event was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Development, Hellenism Abroad & Public Diplomacy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Tourism, the Region of Attica, and the Hellenic Tourism Organization.
