The 1st International Conference on Luxury Tourism, supported by the Ministry of Tourism, will take place in Greece-on Santorini island during Spring.
The international trends, the latest developments and the new data that are taking shape in luxury tourism in the new landscape after the pandemic, will be presented for the first time in Greece, at the 1st Conference dedicated to luxury tourism entitled “The Luxury Side of Greece”.
The international conference, “The Luxury Side of Greece”, is scheduled for spring 2023 on the island of Santorini and aspires to become an institution. The conference is co-organized by the Municipality of Thira and the company “Update Entertainments” and is under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism.
The goal of the conference is to highlight Greece as a strong destination in the ever-growing Luxury Tourism, claiming its own distinct position in a fiercely competitive international environment.
In recent years, luxury tourism has emerged as the new global tourism trend. It is aimed at guests of a high income level, willing to live unique travel experiences, looking for unique experiential moments and creating special memories, for themselves and their loved ones.
Attracting travelers with a high income profile is a big bet for Greek tourism in recent years, since in Greece 7% of the country’s GDP comes from luxury tourism.
This celebration of Luxury Tourism will host internationally renowned speakers, honored guests from the political and business world, powerful players in tourism, journalists from major domestic and international media, ensuring the visibility of our country and its emergence as a Luxury Travel Destination.
Through the various thematic sections that will be developed both live and hybrid to cover the great interest in participation from internationally renowned speakers. The participants will have the opportunity to be informed about the developments in Luxury Tourism and to acquire important knowledge from specialized people of the tourism market from Greece and abroad.
All kind of business based in Santorini, even small, large and family owners, can participate in this Festival, a celebration which aims to become an institution, upgrading the overall quality of island’s tourism.
