The Region of Attica presented proposals for alternative tourism within the framework of the International Tourism Exhibition Ferien-Messe held in Vienna on January 12-15.
The Region of Attica took part in the exhibition together with the Greek National Tourism Organisation (GNTO) in an attempt to establish the metropolitan area of Athens as a destination offering a collection of various tourist activities.
Throughout the exhibition, business to business appointments with tour operators and tourism correspondents were held.
The Region of Attica presented, within the Strategic Action Plan for the Tourist Promotion of Attica Region (2016-2020), presented in-depth information on different types of tourism such as: proposed routes on Kythera and Poros, biking in Spetses, along with in the historical center of Athens and the coastline, trekking activities, hiking and diving in Kythera and Antikythera, riding at Salamis, climbing on Mount Parnitha, and various other.
