The 2013 White Sands International Film Festival of Las Cruces has announced this year’s film schedule for September 4-8, 2013. The festival has selected a wide range of feature films, documentaries, and student and narrative shorts to be screened during the event.
The festival’s opening night feature film “Roswell FM” was locally produced in Las Cruces by David Spence and Stephen Griffin. The film is the story of a talk show host on a paranormal talk radio station who quits his dream job to start a higher-paying but soul-crushing career.
Veteran film actor and director Lou Diamond Phillips will be the recipient of the 2013 Lifetime Achievement Award at this year’s festival. His films “La Bamba”, “Stand and Deliver” and his latest “Sanitarium” will also be screening during the festival.
Tickets for the festival are on sale and can be purchased at www.wsiff.com/tickets. Prices are $75 for an all films pass and $30 for students. VIP passes are $150 before July 31, 2013 and $175 after this date. VIP passes include access to all films, workshops and social events including the Lifetime Achievement Award Party honouring Lou Diamond Phillips and the Awards Gala. Individual film passes can be purchased at the theatre.
