Hotelbeds outperforms the market with continued growth

Middle East and Asia Pacific is the fastest growing region tipped for future success

Hotelbeds, announces its 2012 results and future plans at World Travel Market, ExCel, London, 05-08 November 2012.

Hotelbeds is the travel trade’s most successful accommodation provider supplying over 50,000 hotels across 147 countries to travel agents, airlines and tour operators. Following its 10-year anniversary celebrations with clients and suppliers around the world, Hotelbeds returns to World Travel Market to present its 2012 results and future plans.

2012 highlights include:
€1.45 billion forecast in transaction values for 2012  (€1.2 billion in 2011)
54,600 hotels available for clients on  www.hotelbeds.com (45,000 in 2011)
MEAPAC (Middle East and Asia Pacific) is the fastest growing destination and source market
Spain remains the best-selling destination in Europe with Turkey as the fastest growing destination
For the Americas and Asia Pacific the USA is the top destination sold
The Middle East continues to grow strongly as a source market with Singapore being the most popular destination for customers

Future plans to 2015:
Hotelbeds globally expects to more than double the online accommodation market growth rates estimated at 7.3%.
MEAPAC region expects circa 40% growth (estimated market growth 9.1%).
Americas region expects circa 20% growth, (estimated market growth 6.3%). 
Hotelbeds international workforce will increase by 18%, equaling 1000 new jobs by 2015.
Hotelbeds will continue with its planned investments (over 40%) in sales, marketing and technology.
