Greece’s most prestigious sailing regatta consists of three or four individual offshore races that usually start and finish at Faliro Bay and take in the beautiful islands of the Aegean.
Once a strictly racing-only event, the rally is now a nationwide sailing festival with many glamorous events preceding and following the regatta. From super yachts and sport-racers to classics, all vessels -great and small- take part in this fascinating race!
The 49th Aegean Sailing Rally 2012 consists of three offshore races:
- Faliro – Chania (Crete)
- Chania (Crete) – Milos
- Milos – Cape Sounio
As in the past, many satellite events will be held during the Rally as well as the Prize Giving Ceremony at the Aegean Naval Command in Piraeus.
The 49th Aegean Sailing Rally is organised under the auspices of the General Secretariat of Sports and the Greek National Tourism Organisation.
