A plane with 152 on board has crashed near the Pakistani capital of Islamabad. The Airblue flight to Islamabad, via Karachi, crashed in the Margalla Hills to the north of the city. A huge rescue effort has been launched, although it is being hampered by foggy and overcast conditions. Latest reports said there were no survivors.
Airblue is a private airline based in Karachi which has been in operation since 2004. Its fleet of next-generation Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft fly domestically within Pakistan and to five international destinations, including Manchester.
