Σημαντική μείωση κατέγραψαν τα λειτουργικά έξοδα του Ελληνικού Οργανισμού Τουρισμού κατά το έτος 2010. Η μείωση άγγιξε το 36.85% σχέση με τις αντίστοιχες δαπάνες του 2009, μία μείωση που σε πραγματικούς αριθμούς μεταφράζεται σε εξοικονόμηση 62 εκατομμυρίων Ευρώ. Η μείωση αυτή απηχεί την πολιτική της Κυβέρνησης και του Υπουργείου Πολιτισμού και Τουρισμού περί περιστολής των δαπανών και συγχρόνως καταδεικνύει την ευαισθησία της ηγεσίας του Οργανισμού να αφουγκραστεί τα δεδομένα της εποχής και να σεβαστεί τα χρήματα του έλληνα φορολογούμενου.
