Singapore Airlines and Indonesia’s state carrier Garuda Indonesia announce an increase in flight frequencies between Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, and Singapore in the fourth quarter of 2024, enhancing connectivity between the two Asian hubs.
From 22 November 2024, Singapore Airlines will operate eight daily flights, up from six currently, while Garuda Indonesia will increase its daily services from four to six starting 1 December 2024. The airlines will extend their codeshare agreement to include these new flights.
In 2025, both airlines will allow KrisFlyer and GarudaMiles members to earn and redeem miles on codeshare flights. Additionally, following regulatory approval of their joint business arrangement by Singapore’s authorities in July 2024, Garuda Indonesia and SIA will introduce joint fare products in the first quarter of 2025. This will allow customers to book flights operated by both airlines between Singapore and Denpasar, Jakarta, and Surabaya as part of a single itinerary.
The CEOs of both companies, Mr. Irfan Setiaputra and Mr. Goh Choon Phong, highlight their commitment to further strengthening this partnership, promoting connectivity, and supporting tourism and economic activity in both Indonesia and Singapore.
