Hope For Children CRC Policy Center (HFC) took another important step in ensuring and protecting children’s rights by signing a Memorandum of Understanding with the Cyprus Hotel Association on May 13, 2021. The aim of this collaboration is to strengthen the ties between the Organization with the tourism industry of Cyprus and the implementation of joint actions in the within the frame of the protection of all children’s rights.
The coordination and promotion of joint actions, the implementation of training on the rights of the child and the development and invest in channels for the dissemination of educational and informational material focusing on the protection of children and the prevention of any kind of violence against them, consist the main pillars of the collaboration.
On behalf of Hope For Children, the Director-General Mr. Joseph Borghese stated “It is particularly important and valuable that our Organization collaborates with one of the largest Associations in Cyprus to promote its work. Cyprus tourism industry is a great mechanism. The fact that CHA offers us the opportunity to transfer our know-how and at the same time to receive support and promote our programs, it strengthens our presence and our work in Cyprus”.
Referring to the formalization of the collaboration, Mr. Philokypros Roussounides, Director General of CHA stated “It is with great pleasure that we are given the opportunity to contribute and strengthen the work of the Organization for the protection of the rights of all children, within the framework of the social responsibility of our Association and its great history”.
Within the framework of this cooperation, targeted raising awareness actions and training for the members of the Association will be organized on issues related to the protection of children in the field of tourism, as well as actions of financial support of the humanitarian programs of Hope For Children.
