US President Obama in Athens on Tuesday

US President Barack Obama will depart from Washington on Monday for his last trip to Europe as President. On Tuesday Obama will visit Greece and afterwards he will visit Germany.

Starting off on November 15, as President Obama arrives in Athens he will meet with the President of the Hellenic Republic, Prokopis Pavlopoulos, following a meeting with the Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras at Maximos Mansion.

After meeting with the President and Prime Minister, President Obama is set to attend a formal dinner that will be held in his honor by the Greek President.

Wednesday President Obama is scheduled to visit the Parthenon and then deliver a public speech which US officials have dubbed a “legacy speech” where Obama is expected to address many topics, including highlighting the impacts of the financial crisis on the Greek people and how they have dealt with the negative fallout with dignity.

There will be complete security during Obama visit, says Citizen Protection Minister Toskas.
