The Chinese outbound tourism market increasingly offers business opportunities not only to the most famous destinations and attractions, but also to niche market products and specialised services and destinations. A workshop during the WTM fair in London on Nov. 7, 2012 shows new ways to satisfy the search of the “New Chinese Tourists” for customized experiences.
The workshop “Welcoming Chinese Customers: Niche Markets – Trainings and Quality – Social Media Marketing” is organised by four leading research, consulting and marketing organisations from Europe and China: COTRI China Outbound Tourism Research Institute (Germany), COTA China Outbound Tourism Academy UK), Rossetto Solutions (Italy) and Dragon Trail Interactive (China).
During the workshop the new Chinese Tourists Welcoming Online Training Programme, Chinese Tourists Welcoming Quality Label and Chinese Tourists Welcoming City Label will be presented for the first time to the public.
The workshop will take place on Nov. 7, 2012, from 16.30-18.00 h, at ExCel South Gallery Room 17. Practical advice will be offered by the experts on how to establish successful offers in the Chinese market in five steps:
1) Understanding the specific demands of Chinese customers
2) Training staff online and offline
3) Gaining visibility through China-specific quality labels for service providers and destinations
4) Developing successful niche products
5) Creating a prestigious brand through social media marketing.
