Duo of former presidents to address GBTA

Global Business Travel AssociationTwo former US presidents headline the speakers at next week’s Global Business Travel Association conference in Boston.

George W. Bush will address the event on Tuesday, followed by Bill Clinton the following day. Bush’s fee has been paid for by technology company Orbitz while Clinton is being sponsored by Boeing. Bush will give his views on events since he left office, while Clinton’s subject is not confirmed.

Clinton is making his second address to a GBTA conference, which last year attracted 6,000 delegates. Both men are probably happy to be speaking after, rather than before, an appearance on Monday by Seth Meyers, a leading writer on humorous TV show Saturday Night Live.

The conference starts on Sunday with an interview with American Airlines’ chief executive Tom Horton. The following day includes an airline panel session with British Airways’ chief executive Keith Williams.
Other speakers include Luis Maroto, president and chief executive of Amadeus and Arne M. Sorenson, who holds the same role at Marriott International.
