The 21st Annual Hermes Expo: “Taste of Greece” Kick-Off Event

On Thursday, March 29, 2012, the 21st Annual Hermes Expo was jump-started at the “Taste of Greece” event, which took place at the Raddison Hotel’s Martinique Café in New York City. The event was sponsored by Marathon Bank, and this year’s exhibitors included Stellar Imports, which featured multiple varieties of Greece’s fine wines, Ktima Halamboglou from Serres, Greece, Stellar Imports, Olympus Dairy USA, Health Diet Foods from Greece, Fantis Foods featuring Tsantali Wines, as well as Kellari Restaurant, and the Law Offices of Marianthe Budike (Immigration Specialist).
 
Mr. Paul Kotrotsios,  president & founder of the Hermes Expo International and publisher of the Hellenic News of America, made the opening remarks. He thanked everybody for coming to this landmark event, including its noteworthy participants, several of which travelled all the way from Greece.
 
In his well-received speech, Mr. Paul Kotrotsios, Founder and President of Hermes Expo, underscored the importance of synergy within the Greek-American and Phil Hellenic business community, and thanked everybody for their continued support.
Prior to the “Taste of Greece” reception, business meetings were held with companies from Greece and other South Eastern European countries.

The event was also attended by many business people interested in the Greek products. Consul General of Cyprus in New York, Ms. Koula Sofianou, congratulated the Hermes Expo for its business contributions and initiative to introduce new products through this unique platform as well as Comptroller of Nassau County, The Honorable George Marangos and a US Senate candidate. Amongst the speakers of the night, Executives of Marathon Bank, the main sponsor of the event, thanked the participants and praised the Hermes Expo forum.

All participants thanked Hermes President Mr. Paul Kotrotsios for the event in New York City and are looking forward to the weekend’s festivities in Atlantic City. The Expo featured on Saturday morning with the seminar “Euro zone Crisis: How it Affects Tourism on Both Sides of the Atlantic.”

This Kick-off event of the Hermes Expo “Taste of Greece” in New York was supported by the following organizations: Black Tie Magazine, Hellenic News of America, HABA, HALA, FHMS, HACC, USGBAC, and the Hermes Young Professionals Initiative (HYPI).
