Construction Workers Share their Enthusiasm for “Building the Future at LAX”
The modernization of LAX is the largest public works project in Los Angeles’s history and it is slated to create 40,000 local jobs throughout the course of the construction phases. A lot of news has been made lately about the project itself, but not on the talented, hardworking people behind the scenes.
“Too often when we are all focused on the enormity of a project like this, it is easy to overlook all of the people that actually make it possible,” said Los Angeles World Airports Executive Director Gina Marie Lindsey. “In the midst of the recession, new construction at LAX, is creating tens of thousands of good-paying local jobs, saving families and changing workers’ lives. This video features a small sample of the thousands of workers who are ‘Building the Future at LAX’ and, in the process, building a brighter future for their families and their community.”
