ERA members vote in new board at AGM

era - european regional airline associationMarc Lamidey, President & CEO, Brit Air has been elected President of the European Regions Airline Association (ERA).  He was voted in by members at today’s AGM in Barcelona, Spain, part of the annual ERA General Assembly.  Lamidey takes over from Antonis Simigdalas, CEO of Olympic Air and prior to that, COO of Aegean Airlines, who has served as ERA President for the last six years.  Filling the Vice President position held by Lamidey is Martin Isler, EVP Airline, Luxair, who sits alongside existing Vice President Carlos Bertomeu of Air Nostrum.
There was only one Airline vacancy (Regular members) available on the Board this year, and members voted in Mr Pedro Agustín del Castillo, President of Canary Islands carrier, Binter Canarias which was also announced as the winner of the GOLD ERA Airline of the Year Award yesterday evening.

In the Associate III category (Airports) Roland Hermann, Managing Director of Salzburg Airport was re-elected for a further 3-year term.

In the Associate II category (Suppliers) members elected Denis Forestier, Airline Marketing Director Eastern, FlightSafety International, while Olaf Dlugi of ODC Consulting was re-elected in the Affiliate II category.
