Strategic Agreement of ADDMA and ETOA

In 2010 ETOA ran an extensive survey on Schengen, UK and Ireland visa processing in origin markets across the globe. Our contention was that official approval statistics overlooked loss of business and did not reflect how the visa process acts as a deterrent when visitors are choosing a destination. The survey also looked in depth at which structural factors were most problematic, in order to help the authorities in their stated aim to improve and streamline the process where possible.

ETOA: GEM Expands with New Attendees

Registrations for the Global European Marketplace (GEM12) now stand ahead of last year’s record numbers. GEM12 is the annual event organised by the European Tour Operators Association (ETOA) at which tour operator buyers sit down for a series of pre-scheduled meetings with a wide range of suppliers and trade contacts, ranging from hotels and specialist retailers to visitor attractions and tourist boards.
