Opening its doors for the first time on 5–7 February 2026 at the Istanbul Expo Center (IFM), EMITT aims to provide national and international tourism professionals with a more accessible central and efficient exhibition experience at its new venue. With its renewed organizational structure and strategic vision, EMITT—the international face of Turkish tourism—is stepping stronger into the new era under the leadership of Banu Keskin.
Strong Leadership, Renewed Vision
With more than 17 years of experience in the exhibition industry, Banu Keskin was appointed as the Director of EMITT as of July 2025. In her new role, she will simultaneously oversee two major exhibition brands—Building & Construction Fair – Turkeybuild Istanbul and EMITT – East Mediterranean International Tourism & Travel Exhibition—strengthening ICA Events’ portfolio and international event vision across the sector.
Keskin emphasized that the new era aims to grow the EMITT brand globally, form new collaborations that will guide the sector’s development, and offer exhibitors and visitors an innovative and sustainable exhibition experience. She stated: “EMITT, with its 28-year legacy, is one of the strongest platforms representing the dynamism and hospitality of Türkiye’s tourism sector on the international stage. In this new era, our goal is to increase the strategic impact of the exhibition both in Türkiye and worldwide, and to offer participants and visitors a more efficient and inspirational exhibition experience. At our new location, we are determined to bring all tourism stakeholders together around a shared vision and further expand EMITT’s global presence.”
Hosting nearly 30,000 national and international tourism professionals and destinations from all around the world every year, EMITT also continues to serve as one of the most dynamic meeting platforms where thousands of travel consumers explore new travel opportunities.
For 28 years, EMITT has contributed to shaping the development of Turkish tourism, and in 2026, with its new leadership and new venue, it will once again bring Türkiye’s global tourism power to the forefront with the same determination and excitement.
