It was announced Sunday that Qanta Airlines would finally launch a direct flight from Perth to London after a long time of passengers having to deal with “exhausting stopovers.”
According to The Guardian, this flight lasts 24 hours and “has always been necessary to stop halfway in either Asia or the Middle East.”
Before you begin searching for the next flight you might be interested in, you will have to wait. Until March 2018.
The new route for the flight will take about 17 hours and is so far beleived to be the third-longest flight globally.
At a press conference Sunday, Qantas CEO Alan Joyce called the news a “game changing route with a game changing aircraft.”
Joyce also adds the service will be provided daily.
Seventeen hours is still a long time for a flight, so make sure you’re completely prepared for that.
