AIR FRANCE CELEBRATES THREE MILLION PASSENGERS ON ITS A380

3MPassagerA380-DECEMBRE2012Air France welcomed its three millionth passenger in on its Airbus A380.
To celebrate the occasion, Air France offered a special welcome to a passenger when she checked in
yesterday for flight AF007 from New York- JFK to Paris-Charles de Gaulle.
Mrs. Aurelie Barthaux Naderzad, who was traveling in Economy, won two roundtrip tickets as well as several
Air France branded items. “I love traveling with Air France, it is always a pleasant experience and the
service is fantastic. I specifically booked to fly on the Air France A380 because I had read so much about
the fantastic flying experience” said Mrs. Barthaux Naderzad.
“We are delighted to award this prize in recognition of the fact that Air France was the first European carrier
to offer flights on the A380 and has been providing service between New York-JFK and Paris-Charles de
Gaulle on this state-of-the-art aircraft since November 2009. In addition, to the delight of our passengers, Air
France flies the A380 on the Washington, DC and Los Angeles gateways” added Patrick Roux, Senior Vice
President, Air France and KLM for the Americas.
An integral part of Air France’s efficiency strategy encompassing fleet renewal and rationalization as well as
eco-consciousness, the Air France A380 features four classes of service, spacious cabins, a sophisticated
lighting system synchronized with time zone changes, an art gallery, six bars and extensive on-demand
entertainment programming. This environmentally-friendly aircraft, with reduced CO2 emissions (20% less
fuel burned compared to an A330), is also the quietest aircraft in its category.
The double-decker can accommodate up to 516 passengers in four classes, including 9 in La Première (first
class) on the main deck, 80 in Business class on the upper deck, 38 in Premium Economy class on the
upper deck and 389 in Economy class between the two decks.
In winter 2012-2013, six destinations are served by the Air France A380: New York-JFK, Washington DC,
