Celebrating its 10th anniversary, Athens International Airport invites you to a very special, literary journey!
In cooperation with the literary magazine “Diavazo”, Athens International Airport holds the short story competition “Journeys by Air”. From March 29th through June 28th, 2011, short stories on this subject can be sent – in the Greek or English language – to “Diavazo” magazine (postal address Harilaou Trikoupi 38, 106 80 Athens -Greece or by e-mail to: taxidistonaera@gmail.com). The short stories will be assessed by a jury consisting of the authors: Κostas Μourselas, Thanassis Valtinos, Amanda Michalopoulou, Argyro Mantoglou, and Yiorgos Xenarios.
Following the judges’ assessment, the 6 winners of the competition
(3 for the Greek 3 for the English short story)
will each win a trip for 2 persons
and their short story will be published
in “Diavazo” as well as in the “2board” official airport magazine
The results of the competition will be announce in October 2011.
A condition* for participation in the competition is that participants must be aged over 18 years and they may submit one short story only, no longer than 2,000 words. Athens International Airport’s Literary Short Story Competition is part of the airport’s 10 year-anniversary cultural programme “Art & Culture Wishes”.
