ETOA appoints Róisín Donnelly as a Head of Accommodation Services

etoaETOA – the European tourism association has appointed Róisín Donnelly as a Head of Accommodation Services to lead its strategic relations with hotels, hostels and other providers. Her remit will include the development and implementation of ETOA’s engagement, account management and sales strategy for the European accommodation sector.

In addition the role will focus on delivering enhanced representation by the accommodation sector and UK suppliers a ETOA’s flagship events – MAMA, HEM, GEM, Showcase.Travel Digital and City Fair. She will report to the Director of Marketing & Commerce.
 
Róisín’s experience is extensive within the accommodation sector, with senior roles at Jurys Doyle, Jurys Inns, Qhotels and most recently Generator Hostels. She has successfully created and driven strategic sales plans and achieved increased market share, revenue and profitability.  Róisín was a Member of the Board of Directors of UKinbound, 2008–10, 2010-12, winning UKinbound Hotel Group of the Year 2008.  
                         
On her appointment Róisín said: “I am delighted to be joining the European tourism association in the lead up to March Marketplace. Over 200 international buyers are attending this year’s event including buyers for groups, FIT, bespoke tours, scheduled tours, wholesalers, MICE/corporate and OTAs. The UK and Ireland accommodation and attractions sector is well represented at this year’s event and I look forward to working with those suppliers to enhance their business objectives”.
