Hotelbeds increases roomnights sales for Middle East, Asia, Australia and Pacific Islands (MEAPAC)  by 31% and announces the top 10  best-selling destinations.MEAPAC is the largest geographic region for Hotelbeds worldwide and they have been steadily growing its presence in this region over the past few years. It is also the fastest growing region due to its size, scale and market opportunities.

For 2012, roomnight sales have soared increasing 31% as the region becomes more accessible within the international market and continues to be popular domestically. Hotelbeds growth in the region has been accelerated by infrastructure investments made by the countries in the region, particularly to airports and hotels, with airlines increasing capacity and opening new routes.

52% of roomnights sales on the Hotelbeds online booking platform are generated from the international market, whilst 48% come from inter-regional travel. Hotelbeds is active in over 100 source markets selling into the region with the highest percentage of customers coming from Asia and Europe.

For 2012 the top selling destinations in MEAPAC are: Singapore, Hong Kong, Dubai, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Shanghai, Guangzhou (China), Phuket, Koh Samui (Thailand) and Bali. The top outbound destinations for Hotelbeds Asian markets are Paris, London, Bangkok, Singapore, Bali, Barcelona, Hong Kong, Istanbul, Phuket and Dubai.
